2. Remove existing fixture and disconnect all electrical wiring.
3. Remove the mounting strap from fixture by removing screws from the ends of the fixture. Attach mounting strap to outlet box using the existing outlet box screws.
4. Adjust cord length to desired hanging length. Loosen cord restraint and adjust cord. Pull cord through canopy until the proper length, and then tighten cord restraint to hold cord at desired length.
5. Prepare the wire by stripping 3/4" of insulation from wire ends using wire strippers. Connect WHITE wire from the fixture to WHITE wire from the outlet box using existing wire connector or the wire connector supplied in your box. Connect BLACK wire from the fixture to the BLACK wire from the outlet box, again using the existing connector or the connector supplied. Connect the BARE/GREEN ground wire from outlet box to BARE ground wire on the mounting strap with GREEN ground screw.
6. Wrap electrical tape around each individual wire connector down to the wire. push wire connectors gently back into outlet box. Carefully push excess wiring into outlet box.
7. Align holes in edge of fixture canopy with screw holes at ends of mounting strap. Secure fixture with two screws that were removed in step 3 above.
8. Remove socket ring from socket. Attach your new handmade art glass shade with socket ring. Do not overtighten as glass may crack or break.
9. Install one candelabra base 60 watt max. bulb.
10. Restore power and test fixture.
